Subj: AUXILIARY ELECTION ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA REVISION -009/08
1. In February 2007, ALAUX 003/07 identified changes to Auxiliary election
eligibility criteria. One aspect of those changes was that the
Administrative Procedures Course (APC) became the only
acceptable course in order to meet election eligibility criteria, and that
for elections to be held in 2007, and 2007 only, waiver was granted to
accept successful completion of the Elected Officers Course (EOC) or the
AUXMIN specialty course.
2. Upon further review, and in consultation with Auxiliary national
leadership, this aspect of election eligibility criteria is changed as
follows:
Beginning with elections in 2008, the APC is a specific election
eligibility requirement for any Auxiliarist for whom this would be a first
elected office (level of office does not matter). The EOC and AUXMIN are
only acceptable (i.e. - "grandfathered") for Auxiliarists who have held any
elected office in the past.
3. This change will be reflected in the next revision to the Auxiliary
Manual.
4. The purpose of this list is to keep Auxiliarists as well as all other
interested parties abreast of current developments, policies, manuals, etc.
All information contained herein and linked is OFFICIAL policy and
information.
