Subj: CG HEADQUARTERS REORGANIZATION - NEW CG-3PCX -032/06

1.   As of 1 November 2006, and as part of the Commandant's Intent Action
Order (CIAO) that addresses Coast Guard Headquarters' (CGHQ) transition to
numbered staff offices, several significant CGHQ re-organizational actions
have occurred that impact the labeling and internal functioning of CGHQ
offices with which many CG Auxiliary programs work.  Most notably, as the
ALCOAST message below describes, a new office for the Assistant Commandant
for Operations has been established (CG-3).  This office effectively merges
the "old" Response (G-R) and Prevention (G-P) directorates.
